Oakwood Products Announces Expansion

The $1 million investment will create 30 jobs in Estill

Oakwood Products, Inc. announced today that the company will expand its operation in Hampton

County at the Estill Industrial Park, creating 30 additional jobs and $1 million in additional investment.

“We are looking forward to growing our business in Hampton County, where the community has fully supported our operation. Their hard work made this project a reality,” said Greg Butler, President of Oakwood Products, Inc. “There have been vast improvements in communications and services that made a consolidation to one location and this expansion of our operations in Hampton possible.”

Butler added, “We are pleased to be providing additional jobs and investment in Hampton County while providing better service to our customers.”

A manufacturer of chemicals used in the pharmaceutical industry, Oakwood Products currently employs 13 at a facility on Hwy 321 in Estill.  The new operation will include the purchase and up-fit of a facility for manufacturing and 3000 SF of office space.

“Oakwood Products has been an asset to our industrial community,” said Hampton County Council Chairman Shedron Williams, “We welcome the job creation and investment, and we are proud that the company will now employ more than 40 in direct jobs in our community.”

According to Hampton County Councilman Buddy Phillips, a member of the SCA Board of Directors, “We stand ready to assist Oakwood Products in any way that we can. We appreciate their commitment to our people because every job created improves the quality of life for a family in our county.”
