John O’Toole, Executive Director of the Beaufort County Economic Development Corporation said, “The article highlights the appeal of Beaufort County not only as an excellent place to reside but also as a business destination.  It specifically focuses upon the success of light manufacturing in Beaufort County. Details are provided on successful local companies such as Vetronix, Harris Pillow and Kazoobie Kazoos.  Geismar, a recent addition to Beaufort County’s manufacturing portfolio, has also made an economic impact by providing 50 new jobs and a $2.9 million investment in Beaufort County.”

O’Toole continued, “Proximity to the ports of Savannah and Charleston provides a key strategic advantage.  The county also has excellent access to I-95 and is located in the aerospace cluster between Gulfstream and Boeing.  Another emphasis of the article is the availability of a highly skilled workforce due to the 1,000 annual military members exiting military installations in Beaufort County.”

He added, “We believe that Beaufort County’s feature in the publication presents an excellent opportunity to inform the public on the necessity of job creation and investment in Beaufort County.”
