Hull & Husk Selects Bamberg County for Production Facility
Innovative Agribusiness Repurposes Natural Materials for Home, Field and Garden
BAMBERG, S.C. — Hull & Husk, a producer of diverse agriculture products, has announced that the company will invest $3.175 million and create 19 jobs at their production facility in Bamberg County. Located at 2214 Spider Road, the company will produce a variety of artisanal cooking pellets, premium wildlife feed and deer and rabbit deterrent as well at their new operations center.
Hull & Husk is a South Carolina agribusiness that transforms familiar agricultural materials into innovative products for the fire, field and garden. The company’s growing portfolio includes distinctive cooking and smoking pellets made with ingredients such as pecan shells, coffee and botanicals; nutrient-rich wildlife feed; and a plant-derived deer and rabbit deterrent made with repurposed coffee grounds. Through practical product development and thoughtful use of natural materials, Hull & Husk aims to make more from the resources agriculture already provides.
“Bamberg County is the right place for Hull & Husk to enter this next stage of growth. Our new facility will allow us to expand production, create local jobs and bring more innovative agricultural products to market. We appreciate the warm welcome and strong support we have received, and we look forward to becoming an active part of this community,” said Jared Jester, President of Hull & Husk.
“SouthernCarolina Alliance congratulates Hull & Husk on their growth, and we thank them for their investment and the job creation in our region,” said SouthernCarolina Alliance Chairman Steve Murdaugh. “We are proud to have this innovative agribusiness flourishing in our region, especially one that touches so much of the lifestyle of our residents, from hunting to cooking and grilling to cultivating gardens! We look forward to working with the company to offer the best business conditions for their continued success.”
“Bamberg County welcomes Hull & Husk to our community, where their investment and the good jobs are truly appreciated. On behalf of the county council, we want to offer our support, as every job created in our county provides a brighter future for a family,” said Bamberg County Council Chairwoman Michelle Martin.
